I thought it would be fun to read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens for our December book. I must admit I've never read it before and I am looking forward to it. I hope you all have a chance to read it too.

I put a poll on the blog. PLEASE vote because I am terrible at making decisions and how will I ever choose one book over another?

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your season is going well and you are not too busy to enjoy this time of year--impossible??? Anyway, I don't know how to really post anything on the site, so I figured this would do as well--I just wanted you all to know that we are having another boy--that makes five--and no, I am not disappointed (even if you think I am, it is true), I didn't cry, and I am about out of names. Everyone I tell is much more upset than I am about the news, apparently others were praying for a girl, and some can be somewhat rude about my announcement, but I am sure that none of you would fit into this category, right! I was surprised, I thought it was a girl, but not disappointed. It is rather unique to have so many boys, and who knows maybe Heavenly Father is just encouraging us to try again... Anyway, just so you all know! And, I haven't read any of the books lately, not even my own choice, but I do really want to read the Christmas Carol, so hopefully I will finally finish one and get back into the swing of things.

Alisha,
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. You make a perfect mother of five boys! I am very very happy for you.

I just finished reading A Christmas Carol last night and what a beautiful story. It didn't carry the same flare having read it so many times but I was fortunate to get a book illustrated by Innocenti and I thoroughly enjoyed the artwork and, naturally, the language? Who else is a lover of such language?

Anxious to discover the gender of my baby (6 more weeks),

Me! Where did it go? Your interview and spotlight disappeared! Do you know anything about this :) There is lots to learn and love about you!

I just finished a book titled The Road From Home by David Kherdian about an Armanian girl during the war with Turkey. Such courage and optimism during difficult times. I thought others might appreciate such a book.

You thought I'd deleted it? :) (I'm shocked! Not that you thought that, but that I didn't think of it first!) No, I started answering questions last night and didn't finish but it turned it into a draft instead of a posted post. Never fear, I will finish the questions soon.

I should have written this last week when I wasn't working, but I really liked my break from the computer.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it very easy to read, mostly because I knew the story and had seen the new Disney movie while I was in the middle of reading.

I thought it very uplifting and helped me remember that Christmas means more when you are helping others.
